Sunway International Hotels & Resorts has appointed Dominic Wong (pictured) as cluster director of digital marketing.
He reports to Farizal Jaafar, group director of brand marketing and communication. In his new role, he leads the digital team by managing and overseeing digital executions and social management across all Sunway Hotel properties.
Wong moved from FleishmanHillard where he was digital account director. The agency is currently on the lookout for his replacement.
Prior to FleishmanHillard, he was also account director at JWT Asia Pacific. He has over nine years of digital business experience. His specialties are in social media branding, user experience and consumer marketing.
Wong has over the years worked with clients in different industries that include international brands, such as Malaysia Airlines, Tourism Malaysia, CIMB Group, Astro (MEASAT), Astro Arena, HSBC, Bayer, Moet Hennessy Diageo, Volkswagen amongst others.
Wong said, “Big plans and developments are coming up for Sunway over the next few years, therefore they are looking at digital and social as a big channel to start engage with our tourist, customers and how to adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of e-commerce and online bookings. We currently have more than seven hotels across Asia and plan to also expand into new markets.”
