IPG Mediabrands has been promoted Sujith Rao as the vice president of Inventure, the research and consulting arm of IPG Mediabrands. Rao still reports to Bala Pomaleh, CEO of IPG Mediabrands Malaysia.
At the same time, the agency announced that Inventure will now add marketing cloud consulting services in addition to its existing services, to “amplify” its research and consulting arm. With this, Inventure will now see the integration of analytics and cloud consulting capabilities to offer a wider range of solutions with the client’s business performance at its core.
Inventure has grown from a team of three to twelve over the last two years. The unit primarily provides services such as shopper strategy, segmentation and growth analysis, corporate reputation study, digital and traditional media analysis.
Sujith has over 10 years’ experience as a data scientist, working across various industries such as airlines, banking and telco. His contribution in analytics and automation has resulted in Mediabrands investing in building tools that focus towards increasing organisational productivity. He has also driven the marketing automation agenda for the agency’s multi-billion dollar global and local clients.
IPG Mediabrands said the promotion of Sujith Rao, previously senior director of digital analytics at IPG Mediabrands, serves to merge these capability (in terms of analytics and automation), which in turn would assist clients to better optimise their marketing and communications budgets.
Bala Pomaleh, CEO of IPG Mediabrands Malaysia said, “Investing in future spaces is a key growth strategy for us. Marrying what Inventure used to offer in research, together with what we can now offer in marketing cloud consulting, will help clients close the marketing insights loop. Rao’s expertise makes him the perfect candidate to spearhead our new Inventure”.
Inventure was previously led by Munish Bhamoriya, a seasoned marketing, brand and strategy head. “We would like to thank Munish for his contribution within Inventure and his pivotal role in growing our consultancy business,” Bala added.
