Starcom has retained the media account of BMW Group in China, three years after winning the pitch in 2015.
The agency will continue to work on BMW and MINI including both online and offline media planning and buying, as well as content and performance. The business will continue to be managed by Starcom’s office in Beijing.
Starcom won the pitch that involved OMD and Carat in 2015 and began its work in October. It was said the account was worth around US$450 million per year.
Bertilla Teo, CEO of Publicis Media Greater China said Starcom’s deep understanding and passion for BMW’s unique position in China, along with its insights and innovation were behind the result.
“We have enjoyed a great partnership with BMW Group over the past 3 years and a strong foundation has been built. I am excited that we are continuing with this partnership to accelerate their business in one of the most dynamic markets in the world,” she added.
