Starcom names chairman & director

Starcom Mediavest Group (SMG) Malaysia has appointed Dato’ Anthony Bujang as its non-executive chairman and director.At SMG, Dato’ Anthony (pictured) will work collectively with Jeffrey Seah, country chair for Vivaki & CEO, SMG SEA to elevate SMG Malaysia as it embarks on its next phase of growth. He will be responsible for enhancing stakeholder relations for SMG Malaysia.He brings with him some 30 years of leadership experience from various industries. His media exposure spans across the various media platforms. He was previously group CEO at New Straits Times Press, NTV7 and TV3 from 2000 - 2012.He is currently the group CEO at Petra Energy, an integrated brownfield services provider for the upstream oil and gas industry.“Dato’ Anthony’s appointment is strategic for SMG Malaysia, his management expertise, extensive network and corporate exposure is in line with the group’s plans to expand its reach in emerging markets like Malaysia.
