Standard Chartered Marathon appoints social media shopWe Are Social Singapore has been awarded a seven-month contract for the Standard Chartered Marathon through a government tender process. The agency has been charged to build momentum among the running community for the marathon, which takes place in Singapore on 2 December. The agency will monitor conversations over social channels and create content for the marathon's social platforms, including its Facebook page.BBH Asia Pacific appoints business directorBBH has appointed business director Bass Abdel-Rahman (pictured), who will be based in its Singapore office. Abdel-Rahman has most recently worked for TBWA/Media Arts Lab and OgilvyOne in London on brands including Apple, PlayStation and British Airways. Frances Great, managing director, BBH Asia Pacific said Bass brings an impressive array of strategic, creative and digital skills to the company.Oracle's Pal moves to QlikView as APAC VP of marketingBusiness intelligence platform QlikView has appointed Sandeep Pal as vice president of marketing Asia Pacific and Japan, previously senior director of marketing at Oracle. Pal will be in responsible for leading the marketing strategy for branding, demand generation and awareness towards establishing QlikView's presence in the region. Most recently, he was senior director of marketing at Oracle.
