This Merdeka and Hari Malaysia, Spritzer Sparkling is adding a sparkling boost to the nation’s celebrations with its high-energy campaign, titled “Kasi sparkling, baru kick!” ("Use sparkling, for a kick").

The campaign celebrates the quintessential Malaysian experience of bonding over food and drinks, from late-night mamak sessions that stretch into the early hours to the friendly debates over “Where to eat?”.

Inspired by the vibrant atmosphere of mamak restaurants, where Malaysians of all races, languages, and backgrounds come together, Spritzer Sparkling is giving classic local beverages a fizzy twist. From teh ‘o’ (plain black tea) to sirap limau (syrup and lime) and asam boi (sour plum), the campaign introduces sparkling renditions of these familiar drinks at selected mamak outlets, creating refreshing new taste experiences that blend tradition with modern fun.

Central to the campaign is a colourful, feel-good video featuring a local colloquial icon, “Aneh”, a friendly mamak (Tamil Muslim restaurant) waiter, bringing the urban rhythm of mamak culture to life in rap. The video showcases three sparkling drink recipes and features a diverse local cast speaking in different regional dialects, reflecting the energy and warmth of Malaysia’s food culture.


The 35-second campaign film opens with a man ordering a teh 'o' ais at a mamak, only to be distracted by a waiter behind the counter tempting him to try a sparkling version of the drink for an extra “kick.”

When the waiter’s sunglasses drop, the beat drops too, transforming the mamak into a neon-lit rap stage. The waiter delivers playful bars about Spritzer Sparkling Water and how it can elevate a regular mamak beverage: "Kasi Spritzer Sparkling barulah kick, makan sama tosai roti nasik. Sekali, terus celik. Belanja kawan ini barang baik" ("Only with Spritzer Sparkling do you get the kick. Enjoy it with tosai or roti nasi. One sip, and you’re instantly awake. Treat your friend to something good").

Soon, other customers join in, dancing and rapping to persuade the man to choose the sparkling option. The campaign concludes with the rap’s final line: "Dekat rumah, dekat mamak, kasi sparkling barulah kick," highlighting that wherever you are, at home or at a mamak, Spritzer Sparkling Water adds a refreshing fizz to any drink.


Beyond the video, the campaign extends to the streets with roving roadshows and in-restaurant activations at selected mamak chains, including Restoran Nasi Kandar Subaidah, Restoran Hameediyah, and Nasi Kandar Bestari. Diners can enjoy exclusive combo deals featuring the new sparkling drinks and participate in games and competitions, with prizes to be won.

On Spritzer’s social platforms, the brand has also shared recipe videos showing how to add a fizzy twist to drinks like asam boi and sirap limau using its sparkling water.

By combining flavour, fun, and community, Spritzer Sparkling’s “Kasi sparkling, baru kick!” captures the spirit of togetherness that defines Malaysia. Whether enjoying the sparkling drinks at home or at a favourite mamak, Malaysians are invited to toast to unity and celebrate the season with a fizzy kick.
