Sony signs on local boy band ThomasJack

To promote its new media player the Walkman W260, Sony has signed on local chinese boyband ThomasJack to appeal to the Chinese consumer market.

“They boy band was chosen as their young and energetic personalities reflected the group of audience which the product is targeted to that is youths leading a healthy and active lifestyle,” Connie Goh , corporate communications for Sony told A+M.

According to Sony, the new wireless walkman which is built 25% lighter and has a new compact design is suited for sports enthusiast and fashion enthusiast alike.

Masaki Matsumae, deputy general manager of Brand Activation Management Division, said: “ThomasJack, the multi-talented Malaysian duo who in recent years have made a mark on the local and international stage best compliment the new Walkman W series with great features and versatile design.”
