Shopper360’s executive officer Samuel Chan resigns amidst allegation of misconduct

Samuel Chan (pictured), shopper360’s executive officer and CEO of Pos Ad, Gazelle Activation and Shopper+, has resigned voluntarily amidst an internal investigation into an allegation of misconduct. In the interim, executive chairman and group MD, Chew Sue Ann will assume the roles and responsibilities of Chan, while the company searchers for a suitable replacement, according to the Singapore Exchange filing.

During his time at the Malaysia-based company, Chan was responsible for the management and development of Pos Ad, ShopperPlus, ShopperPlus Myanmar Co. and Gazelle Activation, as well as subsidiaries of the company and expansion into Singapore and Myanmar. He was appointed to the role in October 2014.

In 2016, Pos Ad Group rebranded to shopper360 to focus on integrated shopper marketing solutions and introduced a new proposition of “Selling Smarter”. With the rebrand, the company champions shopper and retail insight, planning, creative solutions, data and all the way to implementation.

shopper360 has five-shopper focused agencies – Pos Ad Media, Jump Retail, Paragon Premiums, Shopwave & Tristar Synergy – specialising in retail media, merchandising, premiums, promoter services and mobile solutions. The company also offers a comprehensive range of marketing and advertising services that integrate along the entire shopper journey, through in-store experience to loyalty, retention and repeat purchase. Last year, it launched two new companies – Gazelle Activation and Shopper+ – to create customised solutions for clients.

Among its list of clients include Nestle, F&N Beverage, Fonterra, Samsung, U Mobile, Giant, Cold Storage and AEON.
