As the Year of the Horse approaches, Shangri-La Group invites guests around the world to celebrate the Spring Festival through a captivating series of immersive experiences—both online and in person.
At the heart of these celebrations is the launch of the “88-Night Global Stay Giveaway”, complemented by a creative partnership with contemporary artist Chen Fenwan, known for her intricate paper-cutting art.
Shangri-La’s festive campaign artfully blends tradition and innovation through modern reinterpretations of heritage crafts such as revolving lanterns and paper cutting. Guests can savour bespoke culinary offerings, exclusive promotions, and interactive games designed to delight business, leisure, and family travellers alike with a meaningful start to a year symbolising renewal and abundance.
Running from 12pm on 10 February 2026 to 11:59 PM on 23 February 2026, Shangri-La’s signature 88-night global stay giveaway offers participants a chance to win an extraordinary travel experience.
To enter, participants simply need to follow Shangri-La's official Instagram (@shangrilahotels) or Xiaohongshu (@é¦™ć Ľé‡Ść‹‰äĽš) and complete designated tasks. One grand prize winner will receive a stunning 88-night stay across Shangri-La’s properties worldwide.
From 10 to 21 February, Shangri-La Circle members can join a daily interactive game via the Shangri-La App or WeChat Mini Programme. Drawing inspiration from the traditional revolving lantern, players select a Lucky Horse, spin the lantern, and accumulate “lucky power” to rise on the leaderboard. Each day’s top-performing team will share 88,888 Shangri-La Circle Points, while runners-up will win dining or stay vouchers.
Furthermore, Shangri-La also collaborates with contemporary artist Chen Fenwan, innovatively integrating her signature paper-cutting art with the Year of the Horse theme across hotel spaces, dining experiences, and gift designs.
At various hotels, including Shangri-La Shougang Park, Beijing, Jing An Shangri-La, Shanghai, Shangri-La Guangzhou, and Shangri-La Ningbo, guests can engage with interactive art installations such as the "Fortune-Spinning Revolving Lantern." By personally turning these auspicious lanterns, guests can immerse themselves in an artistic atmosphere that blends tradition with modernity, welcoming the New Year with joy.
Across the region and beyond, our global properties are hosting signature festive events rooted in cultural heritage. On 17 February, Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong will host a grand "Lo Hei" celebration with 188 guests tossing vibrant Yu Sheng salad together – an energising start to a prosperous year. Meanwhile, Shangri-La Shougang Park, Beijing will transform its lobby into a lively Chinese New Year Market, featuring traditional folk music performances and intangible cultural heritage workshops.
On 17 and 22 February, lion dance performances will ripple through the grand halls of Shangri-La Paris, infusing the timeless setting with blessings and vibrant celebration while demonstrating the Group's deep respect for the inheritance of Asian culture.
To commemorate the season, Shangri-La has released a limited-edition gift collection inspired by revolving lantern art and Chen’s horse motifs. The highlight, the Jin Jun Mei Chinese New Year pudding gift box, features a dynamic lantern design that symbolizes movement, vitality, and good fortune—ushering in a year filled with hope and elegance.
