SGX set to expand marketing team

The Singapore Exchange (SGX) is on the lookout for a new vice president of marketing and communications as part of its expansion plans.

The person will report to Ai June Schult, SVP, head of marketing and communications.

Schult left MasterCard last year  and is now looking to build a team at SGX to “grow the SGX brand equity internationally,” a spokesperson said.

She added that the “positions have been redefined from being B2B-focused with event management as the main skillset, to a full-fledged marketing role encompassing B2C as well.”

SGX is also looking to appoint a VP of corporate and market strategy who will work closely with the CEO’s office.

SGX has been running a full-page ads in The Financial Times and The Business Times for the senior positions which also include senior VP, head of legal and SVP for capital and treasury management among others.

“We support a culture of diversity and adaptability, and look to secure the best talent globally so that we can continue to leverage these opportunities,” the spokesperson added.

On its growth plans, SGX added the company is “optimistic about business opportunities in the world’s fastest growing region.”
