Scoot has appointed Lau Hui Ling as director of marketing, public relations and loyalty, reporting to chief commercial officer Calvin Chan.
Lau took on the role in April 2026, returning to Scoot more than a decade after she was part of the airline's start-up team.
She first joined Scoot in 2011 as a senior planning specialist, where she was part of the start-up team and worked on the commercial aspects of the airline before specialising in planning and scheduling.

Lau subsequently spent more than a decade at Singapore Airlines, holding roles across new revenue, business transformation and brand and marketing. Most recently, she served as general manager of brand and marketing from October 2020 to June 2023, according to her LinkedIn.
She then moved to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, where she was general manager from June 2023 until April 2026.
Her return to Scoot comes as the airline continues to expand its network while developing its brand and customer proposition across marketing, partnerships and customer engagement.
In recent months, Scoot has continued to pursue campaigns and partnerships spanning travel, entertainment and culture. These include a collaboration with Sony Pictures around the Spider-Man: Brand New Day film release, as well as a Singapore National Day campaign spotlighting everyday heroes.

The appointment follows the departure of Agatha Yap, who previously served as director of marketing, communications and loyalty at Scoot. Yap has since joined Mandai Wildlife Group as chief marketing officer in March 2026.
During her time at Scoot, Yap was credited with strengthening the airline's brand presence, optimising its paid media performance and strategy, expanding advertising revenue opportunities and developing brand partnerships.
Under Yap, Scoot also developed its "Scoot with heart" platform, which focused on human connection and meaningful reunions through travel, before building on the territory with its "What if?" campaign in December 2025.
