Resorts World Genting debuts new music video featuring popular local artists

Resorts World Genting (RWG) debuted their new music video, “Welcome to My World!”, aimed at heightening excitement and welcoming guests to the resort. The song features local artists Zee Avi, Jestinna Kuan, Nana Sheme, As’ad Motawh and Alyssa Dezek, who also presented the song live at the launch event. This campaign was brought to life by Ignite and Dentsu who were the creative and media agencies on the project, respectively.

“The ‘Welcome to My World’ campaign, in part, aims to give guests a sense that this is essentially their place which they can call ‘my world’ by providing new experiences. Through this campaign, RWG also seeks to promote the newly opened Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park. 

Apart from that, guests may also engage in other attractions such as the Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park, Ripley's Adventureland, Vision City Video Games Park, and BigTop Video Games Park. The campaign will also be executed via radio ad buy, on digital platforms as well as through a social media contest and according to a spokesperson from Genting Malaysia, this will be an ongoing campaign with new installations that will fall under the umbrella campaign.

Spencer Lee, senior VP of sales and marketing at Genting Malaysia said that guests, not only from Malaysia but abroad, have been visiting and loving the offerings RWG has provided for decades. “Over the years, we have continued to reinvent and improve ourselves, as we actively seek to provide fresh experiences for our guests,” he added. 

Lee joined the RWG team last year after leaving the CEO role at BIG Loyalty, where he helped transform the platform into a comprehensive lifestyle rewards platform, rewarding BIG Members in more ways than one with BIG Points, today’s universal digital currency. Under his leadership, in the short span of one year, the company’s revenue increased remarkably by almost 60% compared to the year before. Prior to that he was with AirAsia for almost 12 years in several different commercial roles and marketing roles.

Mid December last year, RWG partnered with Lazada Malaysia to form a long-term collaboration as its core eCommerce partner. The partnership is a part of RWG’s effort to bring a holistic shopping experience to Lazada to accelerate the recovery of Malaysia’s domestic tourism industry. Shoppers can purchase tickets and hotel accommodation packages, digital goods at special prices as well as theme park attraction tickets for concerts and performances by local and international artists, as well as food and beverage vouchers. Lazada will also be using RWG as the preferred venue for corporate events and team-building activities

Senior VP of sales and marketing of RWG, Spencer Lee said that this partnership will be the catalyst that enables them to bring RWG closer to a wider group of consumers and make it easier for them to plan their holidays, weekend getaways and fun activities.
