Royal Brunei Airlines taps on to M&C Saatchi to grow revenue

Royal Brunei Airlines will partner with M&C Saatchi Singapore in an innovative marketing approach, to grow the airline’s revenues by increasing overall tourism inflow into Brunei. Given the country’s limited population which limits the outbound market, the best strategy is to grow tourism on a sustained basis. As such, Royal Brunei Airlines will be building and promoting Brunei as a must-visit destination and presenting the airline as the best way to get there.

Karam Chand, CEO of Royal Brunei Airlines, said “Our search for a strong partner to drive this initiative led us to M&C Saatchi Singapore, who during the pitch process demonstrated their ability to leverage the power of insights and ideas to deliver business outcomes. We look forward to collaborating with them and our local partners by presenting Brunei to potential guests as a pristine, peaceful and great holiday destination”.

Tanuj Philip, founding partner and CEO of M&C Saatchi Singapore, said “Not many people are aware of the undiscovered gem in the heart of Southeast Asia that Brunei is. We are delighted to be given the opportunity to partner with Royal Brunei Airlines and promote Brunei tourism."

He added that royal Brunei Airlines is at an inflection point, with new and modern aircraft being added to the fleet. "Our job is to fill the aircraft with people who are keen to explore the truly unique Bruneian experience," said Philip.
