Rohit promoted to Unilever PH CEO

FMCG giant Unilever has promoted Rohit Jawa, its senior vice president of global marketing operations, as the new chairman and CEO for Unilever Philippines.To be based in the Philippines, Jawa (pictured) will be replacing Peter Cowan, now the chairman of Unilever South Africa. According to Jawa’s Linkedin account, the appointment took place this month.Details on who will replace Jawa have yet to be disclosed.Jawa leaves his role in global marketing operations after two years when he was appointed in August 2011. Prior to that, he held six C-level roles which includes senior VP of marketing operations for Asia, Africa, Central & Eastern Europe, regional category VP for Asia & Global and brand VP at Unilever Asia.
