Razorfish names China CEO

Razorfish has named Esther Yang as chief executive officer of its China operation, with MD LeeYee Hew taking on a wider role of Greater China COO.Both report to Vincent Digonnet, executive chairman Asia Pacific.Yang, a 20 year veteran of the advertising industry, has worked with global brands from P&G, Unilever, Lexus, Hyundai and Samsung Electronics.She will be based out of the Razorfish Shanghai office. LeeYee Hew, former managing director China, has been promoted to the newly created COO role to work closely to develop the agency’s regional presence, she will be based out of Hong Kong.“The strengthening of our leadership team in China is a true reflection of the ground we have covered in our recent history," Digonnet said. "In the past two years, under LeeYee Hew's leadership, Razorfish in China has thrived to a multidiscipline business transformation group with more than 300 employees across Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou. We’ve integrated acquisitions and developed new disciplines including e-commerce and social media.”Both appointments are effective immediately.
