Publicis Shanghai names Fanny Yum as managing partner

Publicis Communications has appointed Fanny Yum as managing partner of its Shanghai office. In this newly created role, Yum will be responsible for bolstering the strategic alliance and business development among Publicis Communications agencies in Shanghai, as well as reinforcing the agency's Power of One strategy by driving greater integration across all capabilities.In addition, Yum will take on the role of CEO Publicis Worldwide Shanghai and lead the operations of Publicis Life Brands.  Yum will report to Michael Lee, CEO of Publicis Groupe Greater China. After having led the agency for over a decade, Publicis Worldwide Shanghai’s incumbent CEO, Chenghua Yang, will leave the agency to follow personal endeavours.Lee commented, “Fanny’s sharp understanding of the market, combined with her passion for the creative industry and its people, will keep our pioneering foothold in this age of transformation. I have full confidence in her capabilities to lead the change for our clients.”An industry veteran, Yum started her advertising career with McCann Erickson Hong Kong. In 1998 she began building her extensive Mainland China experience, starting with McCann Erickson Beijing. Having worked in 4A agencies such as BBDO Shanghai, Bates Beijing and DFCB Beijing, Yum notably served as the CEO of MullenLowe China. Prior to joining Publicis Communications, Yum was the chief growth officer of Charoen Pokphand Group Zheng Yuan China.Yum said, “The possibilities for brands today are only limited by our imagination.
