Publicis Singapore has appointed Jennie Morris (pictured right) as chief creative officer. This comes on the back of Publicis bolstering its strategy planning team following a raft of new business wins this year.
In this newly created position, Morris will oversee all accounts out of the Singapore office. She will also be partnering Joanne Theseira (pictured left), MD of Publicis Singapore, while working closely with the creative leaders across Publicis Groupe to strengthen the agency’s creative culture.
Morris said that Publicis had an impressive growth thus far, and she aims to build an agency environment with the leadership team, where creative talents can thrive.
Prior to joining Publicis, Morris had a one-year stint with TBWA\Worldwide as the global creative director and left the agency in December 2018. She has also worked with brands Saatchi & Saatchi and Sapient under Publicis Groupe between 2010 to 2017 as regional creative director and creative director respectively.
Morris brings with her expertise across various industries having worked on airline – Qantas, British Airways, Emirates, Scoot, Singapore Airlines; telcos – Optus and Telstra, automotive – Toyota, Lexus, Mercedes Benz and BMW; and FMCG such as Mead Johnson, P&G, Pepsi and Mars.
According to Lou Dela Pena, CEO of Publicis Communications Singapore, Morris' work shows brilliance in finding simple answers to complex business challenges. "She will be instrumental, together with Theseira, who has been driving business growth, in bringing the agency’s creative offering to the next level,” she added.
“Our ambition is to assemble the best creative talent possible under one roof. Morris not only has one of the sharpest minds in the business, but the one crucial trait that most inspires creative achievement. She leads by example,” said Ajay Vikram, chief creative officer, global clients, Publicis.
