Dentsu HK names new chief media growth officer

Dentsu Hong Kong has appointed Helen Cheung (pictured) as its new chief growth officer, media, dentsu Hong Kong, MARKETING-INTERACTIVE confirmed.
Reporting to Wai-Chung Au, managing director, media, dentsu Hong Kong, Cheung is the executive lead for Shiseido and is tasked at accelerating strategic growth, developing media capabilities and products, and unlocking new opportunities to help strengthen dentsu's partnership with its clients and grow their business.
Cheung's extensive career spans over 30 years within Hong Kong’s dynamic media agency sector, encompassing progressively senior leadership roles at prominent organisations such as Zenith, Wavemaker, MEC, Maxus, and OMD.
Most recently, she was Omnicom Media (OM)'s managing director for Hong Kong. During her tenure, Cheung made significant contributions to OM's growth and talent development, earning the respect of colleagues across the business through her leadership, expertise, and commitment to excellence.
In conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, she said, "Happy to take on a new role that will help evolve and transform the agency's business to the next level by developing future-ready media products and identifying new opportunities for our clients across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. This comes after Dentsu Hong Kong appointed Naomi Chan to lead its sports and entertainment offering in Hong Kong, reporting to Au. In this newly created role, Chan will work closely with dentsu's Greater North Asia sports and entertainment leadership team and specialists across the region as sports and entertainment remains a strategic growth area for dentsu Hong Kong.
She will be supported by an integrated team across media, creative, experience and partnerships, and will focus on strengthening industry partnerships and delivering business growth for the agency's clients.
