Pos Malaysia names Syed Md Najib group CEO

Pos Malaysia has appointed Syed Md Najib Syed Md Noor as the group CEO, replacing Al-Ishsal Ishak who left to take on the chairman role at Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.According to the Bursa filing, Syed Md Najib Syed Md Noor was most recently chairman of Altel Communications and MYTV Broadcasting. Prior to that, he was with Celcom Axiata for about 12 years, holding a wide range of positions across several portfolios. These included senior vice president of Celcom's International Business; director of regulatory; legal and corporate affairs; and chief customer experience, services and retail officer.Additionally, he was also the country head for Malaysia and Indonesia at REACH, a joint venture between Australia's Telstra and Hong Kong Telecoms. He was also the managing director of MMIOS Internet Services and began his career at Esso Production Malaysia Incorporated.(Photo courtesy: 123RF)
