WATCH: PMA at 60 unveils new logo

The Philippine Marketing Association (PMA) celebrates its 60th anniversary with a new logo, its first makeover for the last six decades.

PMA’s new emblem was created by Vital Strats Creative Solutions, replacing the industry group’s boxy typography with a colorful pinwheel.

Below is a video of the grand reveal held during the induction of the PMA’s board of directors for 2014 last 29 January.

Speaking with Marketing, Amrei Dizon, creative director and general manager of Vital Strats, said the pinwheel creatively represents the PMA who continues to brave the marketing headwinds since 1954.

“Marketing is the wind. It’s the force that drives a business forward and can make or break any business.  In other words, PMA is the pinwheel that harnesses the winds of marketing.”

“The pinwheel represents an instrument that turns obstacles into opportunities. This being said, PMA gives the right equipment to let the marketing industry control the seemingly uncontrollable – no matter what direction the wind may blow,” she adds.
