Pizza Hut Singapore has appointed Liew Li Li (pictured) as its new director of marketing and food innovation, effective 1 September 2026.

Liew succeeds Ailsa Tan, who recently stepped down from the role after three months with the quick-service restaurant (QSR) brand.

In her new role, Liew will lead Pizza Hut Singapore's marketing and food innovation agenda, with a focus on customer engagement, brand relevance and business growth. She joins as the brand looks to strengthen its position in Singapore and accelerate its digital ambitions.

Liew brings more than 20 years of marketing experience spanning the QSR, FMCG and digital sectors, with experience across digital growth, customer engagement and marketing effectiveness in Asia and other international markets.

Most recently, she was with McDonald's Corporation, where she led marketing transformation and digital initiatives across a number of international and franchise markets. Her remit covered commerce, CRM, loyalty, martech, customer acquisition and campaign performance across markets including Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia.

Prior to McDonald's, Liew held regional digital and media leadership roles at Mondelēz and Kimberly-Clark, overseeing areas including digital, CRM, eCommerce and media across multiple markets. She has also previously worked on the agency side.

Commenting on the appointment, Juliana Lim, general manager said, "Liew brings with her a strong combination of brand, digital and commercial marketing experience."

"Her deep expertise in customer engagement, digital commerce, CRM and loyalty will be highly valuable as we continue to evolve the Pizza Hut brand and strengthen our connection with customers. We are delighted to welcome her to the Pizza Hut Singapore team and look forward to the next phase of growth together," she added.

Her appointment follows Tan's departure from Pizza Hut Singapore. Tan confirmed her exit in a LinkedIn post, saying the role was "not the right long-term fit" and that she did not see herself as the right person for that particular chapter of the business.

In comments shared with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Tan said her decision ultimately came down to fit. During her tenure, she worked across the brand's marketing and food innovation efforts, including the relaunch of its Braddell Heights outlet.
