Pinterest brings Shopee Affiliate links to creators in Indonesia and Brazil

Pinterest and Shopee have partnered to connect Shopee’s affiliate commerce programme with Pinterest content in Indonesia and Brazil, giving eligible creators a new way to recommend products through Pins and videos.
Under the new affiliate partnership, eligible Shopee Affiliate creators can connect their Shopee Affiliate accounts with their Pinterest accounts, select eligible Shopee products and feature them in their content. Creators can also tag multiple products in a single Pin or video and, where applicable, have relevant Shopee affiliate links automatically applied to eligible products.
When users make eligible purchases through those products on Shopee, creators can earn affiliate commissions, subject to the applicable programme terms.

The partnership marks Pinterest’s entry into affiliate commerce in Indonesia, while expanding its existing creator-commerce partnerships in Brazil. For Shopee, it extends its existing Affiliate Programme into Pinterest’s visual discovery environment, linking product recommendations with the platform’s search and inspiration-led behaviour.
“Commerce does not begin only at the point of purchase. It starts when people discover an idea, explore their options, and decide what fits their needs. At Shopee, we see creator-commerce as part of this broader journey, connecting creators and businesses with shoppers through content and technology. Our work with Pinterest reflects this approach by linking visual discovery with Shopee’s commerce ecosystem,” said Peggy Zhu, executive director, brand and growth marketing, Shopee.
Pinterest said the partnership builds on how users already use its platform to explore potential purchases, from fashion and beauty to home products.
The platform said Gen Z is now its largest and fastest-growing audience, accounting for more than 50% of its global user base. Pinterest search data also points to rising interest in shopping-related categories among Gen Z users in both markets.
In Brazil, searches for inspiração de look, meaning “outfit inspiration”, increased 281% year-on-year. In Indonesia, searches for produk kecantikan, or “beauty products”, rose 83%.
The company said these behaviours create a role for creators in helping users move from discovering an idea to considering specific products, while Shopee provides the purchasing environment.
“People come to Pinterest with intent. Whether they’re updating their wardrobe, refreshing their home or looking for a new beauty product, they’re actively exploring what to buy next. Creators help guide those decisions through recommendations people trust,” said Ayumi Nakajima, senior director, content partnerships, APAC, Pinterest.
“Pinterest truly sits at the heart of creator commerce where inspiration can lead to action. By partnering with Shopee, we’re making shopping on Pinterest even more useful by connecting inspiration, creator recommendations and products more intuitively - building towards a visual search and shopping experience.”
The partnership also allows creators to group related products within a single piece of content, such as a complete outfit, product collection or themed recommendation.
For creators already participating in Shopee’s affiliate programme, the integration adds Pinterest as another channel for product-led recommendations.
“Having been a Shopee Affiliate since early 2022, my goal has always been to share recommendations that offer real value. Connecting Shopee with Pinterest bridges two powerful strengths - inspiration discovery and seamless shopping. It makes the journey from idea to purchase entirely frictionless for audiences while opening up greater monetisation opportunities for creators in Indonesia,” said Nayla Zukhrufa, a home and living creator in Indonesia.
Brazilian creator Patrícia Cella similarly highlighted the ability to bring multiple products into a single recommendation.
“When I share an outfit or a makeup look, I like to highlight every product and piece because they work well together. With this partnership, I can feature my full look, everything I used for my makeup or skincare routine, and give my audience the option to choose individual items or the complete set I recommend. It’s a more seamless and interactive way to find products on Shopee while getting inspired on Pinterest,” she said.
