
Global brands join hands to sponsor Pink Dot HK 2022

Global brands such as HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank and Manulife have joined hands to sponsor Pink Dot Hong Kong to present a local LGBTQIA+ carnival and concert.
As one of the LGBT+ annual local events since 2014, this year's event was held on 23 October KITEC. The event was a free-for-all fun carnival and outdoor concert for LGBT+ and their allies, families, friends, and colleagues in support of diversity and equality.
The event was co-organised by BigLove Alliance, Qlove and LEZO, supported by Covenant of the Rainbow.
According to pink dot HK's website, global brands like Prudential, J. P. Morgan, Bloomberg, Fidelity Investmensts were sponsors of the event. Concert, corporate booths, community booths, pop up store, film screening, sports zone and kids zone were included in the carnival.
The event also invited local singers Jay Fung and actor Joey Leung as ambassadors, as well as local Cantopop stars to perform at the scene including Serrini, Jason Chan, Gigi Cheung, Mischa Yip and Sophy Wong, according to pink dot HK's poster.
DFI Retail Group, one of the sponsors of Pink Dot HK 2022 has participated in launching a corporate booth. It expressed its support to the carnival on its LinkedIn. According to the post, it said respecting each other was one of their values – underpinning their stance on embracing diversity and inclusion within their workplace and at their stores.
Aiming to raise awareness of the LGBTIQA+ community, the event has received support from global brands in recent years. foodpanda collaborated with Pink Dot HK in 2018 to support the carnival. foodpanda riders wore special stickers and branded bags at restaurants throughout the collaboration. Moreover, a foodpanda Pink Dot Bar was launched at the main event, serving drinks along with plenty of branded merchandise to give away to participants. It also had a bike riding event to collect donations to further support the cause.
