Media and marketing agency PHAR Partnerships has promoted country head of Malaysia, Indran Balavishnu (pictured), to the newly created role of regional head overseeing Malaysia and Indonesia. He reports to co-founder and MD, Nick Lockwood, who is based in Singapore.

Balavishnu is responsible for continuing the growth of PHAR in those two markets as the preferred ancillary revenue partner in the transport, infrastructure and leisure sectors via marketing and media partnerships. This includes growing the revenue for current partners including AirAsia, Pertamina, Jetstar, Gateway@KLIA2, as well as developing new partnerships. He is also tasked with helping brands achieve their marketing goals and business expansion plans with PHAR's integrated marketing solution known as "Connected Journey". The integrated solution covers in-flight media, programmatic, digital OOH, content marketing and strategic partnerships.

Balavishnu has been with PHAR since its inception in 2011. Having led AirAsia's media sales team previously, PHAR's spokesperson said Balavishnu was the natural choice to build the partnership between PHAR and AirAsia. Prior to AirAsia, he was also managing media sales with theSun Daily.

"Balavishnu has been the driver and innovator with our partners, working with our partners to deliver high impact solutions for brands, while helping brands to achieve their own aspirations," PHAR's spokesperson said.

PHAR advises organisations in the transport, infrastructure, and leisure sectors on creating ancillary revenues via marketing and media partnerships. The services it provides are opportunity assessment, media sales and partnerships, technology and data services, media planning and buying. The agency has offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, India, and the UK.
