Perodua has launched a Chinese New Year film titled “Annual Rush Rush” in line with its 2020 campaign theme #WeGoBeyond. Done in collaboration with Spin Communications and Reservoir Production, the film pays tribute to the unsung heroes who go the extra mile to make our celebrations more meaningful.
The story is told from the perspective of an elderly lady, Auntie Sim, who leads viewers to believe she is a stickler for tradition and that her neighbours, the Wong family, are not taking the time to truly enjoy the togetherness, camaraderie and significance of this auspicious annual dinner.
The video later reveals the reason for the Wongs’ mad rush to have their reunion dinner at a strange time, so early in the afternoon. It ends on a sweet note, reminding viewers to thank the people who go out of their way to keep traditions going just to bring joy to others. Perodua appointed Spin Communications to manage creative duties in 2018. The agency has been working on the account for close to 10 years.
