Pernod Ricard Malaysia names Faye Yong marketing director

Pernod Ricard Malaysia has named Faye Yong (pictured) its marketing director, according to her LinkedIn. Yong was previously with Vinda Group SEA, a company that produces hygiene products, for about four years.

In a statement to A+M, Yong said she is responsible for marketing and will oversee the whole Pernod Ricard portfolio for Malaysia. She will also report to MD Sébastien Mouquet. In her new role, Yong leads a team of 15 across brand marketing, digital, prestige and brand ambassadors.

"Pernod Ricard already has a strong heritage with many leading brands both locally and at global levels. Namely Martell, Chivas, Jameson, Glenlivet, Jacobs Creek, Royal Salute, Perrier Jouet and many more. I will be continuing to drive the strong legacies of the company and with hopes to take each brands to the next level. Building strong brand connections and driving innovations would be my priorities," she added. The marketing director role was previously held by Emmanuel Dokhelar.

She last helmed the role of marketing innovation director, during which she led brand strategies and architecture, innovation, business and market expansions, her LinkedIn said. Yong first took on the role of regional marketing director at Vinda Group in 2016 as .

Prior to that, she was the senior global brand innovation manager at SCA, a hygiene and forest products company, for close to two years. Before that, she was the senior marketing manager and marketing manager at SCA Hygiene between 2009 to 2014. SCA's businesses in Malaysia, Taiwan and South Korea were incorporated into Vinda in 2016 as part of its expansion in Asia.

Yong has also worked at Johnson & Johnson, Bausch + Lomb, Unicharm Corp and Campucon Computers. A+M has reached out to Vinda Group for comment.
