Performics Singapore has hired Martin Davie (pictured left) as the new general manager. This comes following former general manager Vivian Yeo's move into a central Publicis Media role as the head of technology and operations. Davie brings with him 13 years of experience. He was previously with martech startup, Alkhemy as its general manager. Based in Melbourne, he was tasked to lead and leverage Alkhemy's technology to maximise offline sales outcomes for clients throughout Australia. Prior to that, Davie was the GM of Dentsu's iProspect. Working in both iProspect's New South Wales and Victoria office, he was with the agency between 2012 to 2016. Speaking to Marketing, Davie said he understands the structure and approach of the business in Publicis, placing at the centre of what the agency does and building solutions which work to deliver tangible outcomes. "It’s a genuinely exciting proposition and something which has been impressed on me since my first conversations with the team. We have a unique breadth of talent and solutions in the Publicis Groupe in Singapore, I am focused on how we can continue to bring this expertise together to achieve and exceed our client objectives," he added. Davie explained that despite a number of well-documented challenges facing the industry right now, the agency's focus continues to be on maximising value for its clients. According to Davie, clients place a lot of trust in the team to become the "custodians of their brand", while delivering the "best return possible". While keeping on top of the ever-changing tech landscape is vital, he said there is an opportunity in delivering "smarter" alignment between dynamic content and media. Enabling performance marketers to fully understand the value of brand and vice versa will allow the team at Publicis to create cohesive and results-focused strategies for growth, Davie added. “I couldn’t be more excited to join Performics - and the broader Publicis Media Singapore team - at this exciting time in their journey. I am fortunate to inherit an exceptional team, delivering great work across some of Singapore’s leading brands. We have a great opportunity ahead to continue to innovate and deliver exceptional results,” Davie said. Meanwhile, Yeo (pictured right) helmed the role of GM with Performics since July 2014. According to the agency, in her five years with the business, she transformed Performics to a performance media business from a search-only business. Before her stint with Performics, she was with Zenith since 2007 (formerly known as ZenithOptimedia). Joining Zenith as associate director, Yeo scaled her way up to an executive director, integrated media. Gareth Mulryan, CEO, Publicis Media Singapore said Davie’s role is to lead Performics Singapore during a continued period of growth, as 2019 represents an "exciting period" for the Performics business and his expertise will help the team to deliver business outcomes for its clients. While Yeo, will focus on scaling the operations whilst investing in the right technology partners across Publicis Media. "As our Singapore business continues to grow, our commitment to our clients and people is to always try and find ways to improve how we work to make us more effective and create constant value," he added.
