PARKnSHOP has teamed up with PixoPunch to develop a new supermarket m-commerce app on both iPhone and Android, bringing mobile grocery shopping to HongKongers for the first time.
The bilingual app has been created in response to increasing users accessing PARKnSHOP e-commerce site through mobile devices, demanding for easier access, according to a PARKnSHOP spokesperson.
Features include product information via barcode scanning, promotional offers, customised “Shopping List”, MoneyBack exclusive page, recipe ideas and store locator.
The app follows its PARKnSHOP Wine app launched in 2011, which has already proved to be popular with more than 30,000 downloads to date.
“PARKnSHOP Wine is to test the waters for m-commerce, it saw a positive response,” the spokesperson said.
“This time we would like to provide a more comprehensive alternative to our customers, like the new parents who see mobile and digital as handy alternative to in-store shopping. With the new functions, the app helps us develop a more consistence dialogue with our customers.”
To promote the new app, the grocery chain has partnered with creative firm China Stylus and media partner PHD for an ad campaign spanning print, MTR and other outdoor activations.
