Local digital insurer OneDegree has renewed its partnership with PHD, a media agency of Omnicom Media, as confirmed to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE. This continued collaboration will see PHD delivering above the line media services for OneDegree.
This follows a pitch at the end of last year, with PHD selected for its track record in delivering comprehensive media solutions and its deep understanding of local market dynamics and consumer behaviour, MARKETING-INTERACTIVE understands.
In the upcoming year, PHD will manage media planning and buying for the brand's campaigns in Hong Kong.
Samuel Ho, general manager, PHD Hong Kong, said: “We’re honoured to continue working with an esteemed brand like OneDegree and are aligned in our goal to build stronger, more meaningful connections with consumers in Hong Kong. By connecting intelligence across data, media, and local market insights, we can dig deeper and better understand consumers’ needs, helping OneDegree show up in ways that feel relevant and genuinely supportive at every stage of the customer journey. We look forward to delivering transformative growth for OneDegree, enabling them to outthink, outpace, and outgrow the competition.”
Launched in April 2020, OneDegree is a licensed digital insurer with a mission to simplify and demystify the insurance process. It offers pet, home, fire, and critical illness insurance to protect against life's various risks, both big and small.
Don’t miss: OneDegree reminds pet owners to take an extra step for their pets
Recently, OneDegree has collaborated with PHD to launch an emotion-driven campaign reminding pet owners to take extra steps for their pets, as pets cannot express their needs in words.
In conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Bonnie Mak, head of branding and marketing communication at OneDegree, said that this campaign aligns with the brand’s new proposition of health and empowerment. The goal is to empower pet owners and help their pets enjoy longer lives, even beyond traditional insurance offerings.
Adopting an emotional approach, the campaign has launched a microfilm reminding pet owners to pay attention to their furry friends' needs. In the film, a pet owner visits a counsellor with her dog, which barks during the session. Through the counsellor's interpretation, she learns her dog feels abandoned and neglected due to missed walks and inadequate food. As the film intensifies, the owner reflects on her dog's declining health and plans to improve its care. This leads to a heartfelt reconciliation, highlighting the importance of honoring their lifelong commitment and being attentive to their pets' needs.
Back in September, OneDegree launched two exclusive pet-friendly screenings akin to a “Pet Oscars,” in alignment with the Hong Kong government's pet-friendly promotion policy outlined in the Policy Address. To enrich the experience for pet owners, OneDegree invited over 200 pet owners and their pets to dress up and walk the red carpet together, witnessing the dazzling moment when their furry companions became big-screen stars.
