Hong Kong – One2free has launched a new approach to social content by enabling gaming within Facebook posts.
To promote the launch of Game Box – a service that provides on-demand, console quality mobile gaming, one2free and TBWADAN Hong Kong created a series of bite-size games for Facebook which fans can play and share directly from their Facebook timelines and newsfeed.
“This series of in-feed, retro games is our way of continuing to do this by reinventing the concept of gaming on Facebook,” said Joehan Martinus, director of mass marketing of one2free.
“This definitely adds a new dimension of interactivity and social sharing for our loyal Facebook fans.”
Each in-feed game will integrate some of Hong Kong icons such as the Star Ferry and the city’s skyline. The games are accessible across desktop and mobile devices connected to the internet.
Luke Eid, head of TBWA’s Hong Kong, said the agency has been experimenting with rich, interactive content within the Facebook feed for a while.
“When one2free came to us to launch Game Box, it was the perfect opportunity to develop something fun and meaningful that people will actually love to play and share.
“It’s a real game-changer for how brands can create content for Facebook,” Eid said.
