Ogilvy & Mather Shanghai has appointed Jeffery Cheng (pictured to the left) as national head of Social@Ogilvy and Emiko Nagai (pictured to the right) as regional business director of O&M Group Asia Pacific.
In Cheng’s newly created role, he is responsible for consolidating O&M’s social media offerings in China and expanding the agency’s businesses across social media.
Cheng has more than 15 years of experience in digital marketing in Taiwan and the mainland: he has held positions like general manager of the China East Office of Chinese social networking service, RenRen; he also pioneered the online marketing branch in Yahoo! Taiwan.
Cheng has also led projects in both regions for international brands including Unilever, Coca-Cola and Johnson & Johnson.
Nagai takes on the new role of regional business director for O&M Asia Pacific, replacing Alex Lee, who will be taking the same title but based in Hong Kong.
She will lead one of the group’s largest clients IHG in the Greater China region by providing an integrated brand strategy ranging from digital communications to customer relationship management.
Nagai will also oversee IHG’s global coordination across Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East.
