New World Petaling Jaya Hotel has appointed Shona Pang (pictured) as director of sales and marketing, reporting to general manager Jai Kishan.
Pang, who has over 15 years of industry knowledge in events, MICE and corporate sales, will play an integral role in the development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans. Pang was most recently the pre-opening director of sales and marketing for Sheraton Petaling Jaya and has worked across various international hotel brands such as The Westin Kuala Lumpur and Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur.
Kishan said Pang’s proven track record of implementing profitable sales plans and launching new properties make her a valuable addition to the robust and passionate team. New World Petaling Jaya is currently managing marketing and communications in-house.
Opened in January 2018, the hotel has 300 guestrooms and is part of the list of deluxe properties under New World Hotels & Resorts. New World Hotels & Resorts has nine hotels and one affiliated property in China, the Philippines and Vietnam, offering a full range of amenities and services, including multiple restaurants, business services, extensive meeting facilities, Residence Club executive floors and recreational options.
