OOH firm Rodeo Malaysia is reminding Malaysians to wear face masks while in public by getting its cars to "mask up" too. Founder and CEO Valens Subramaniam told A+M that there are still large groups of consumers who fail to use their face masks while in public. As such, the team thought to use its media as a main communication channel to constantly remind motorists to adhere to face mask rules. The campaign took approximately one month to carry out and Subramaniam said brands can also be part of the "Wear your mask" campaign.

"Since it is our CSR initiative, we are looking at showing good human values to save the lives of others. However, if brands were to come on board, we can expect better ROI and perhaps a portion of the revenue will be channelled back to society as part of a good cause," Subramaniam said. The campaign was rolled out nation wide via its 10,000 fleet of cars.

Meanwhile, Danone's AQUA also rolled out a similar OOH initiative around greater Jakarta to help convey messages of implementing health protocols. Done in collaboration with Wunderman Thompson and Wavemaker, the main visual of the billboard is that of a mask which covers the sentence "Kali ini kami menutup billboard ini agar kamu mengerti akan apa yang ingin kami sampaikan". The sentence is translated to "This time we cover this billboard so that you understand the message that we are trying to convey".
