Muslim Pro's 'Hope for Palestine' campaign converts worship into humanitarian aid

Muslim Pro, a Singapore-based faith-tech platform, is marking its 16th anniversary with “Hope for Palestine” - a global campaign that transforms faith, creativity, and solidarity into humanitarian aid.
Launched in Jakarta, the initiative encourages users to turn acts of worship within the Muslim Pro app - such as Quran recitation, dhikr, journaling, or tuning in to livestreams - into tangible support. Each completed mission earns virtual stars, which are then converted into food and essential supplies for 1.45 million Palestinian families in need.
The campaign puts Indonesia - home to 244.7 million Muslims - at the centre of global faith-led solidarity. To date, Indonesians have contributed an estimated US$12 million in food aid for Gaza.

“Muslim Pro was founded with a vision to connect the global Muslim community,” said Nafees Khundker, group managing director and CEO of Bitsmedia, the parent firm of Muslim Pro. “Sixteen years on, Indonesia continues to play a vital role in realising that vision. It’s deeply inspiring for us to see how faith, creativity, and community come together to bring hope to our brothers and sisters in Palestine.”
The campaign follows “Stories by Muslim Pro: Of the Beloved,” a global digital content competition that drew submissions from more than 20 countries. Indonesian creators stood out, winning both top awards.
The Short Film category went to UN(Hated) Father by Mochamad Ramdhan, a moving story of reconciliation between father and child inspired by Prophet Muhammad’s example of compassion and justice. The UGC Shorts category was won by Hayunda Lail Zahara with Packing Tutorial, a reflective reminder that what we carry in life should guide us towards Jannah (paradise).
Their wins highlight how Indonesian creators continue to shape global narratives around creativity, faith, and love for the Prophet, with Muslim Pro standing as a cultural and creative enabler behind them.
From its beginnings as a simple prayer-time app, Muslim Pro has evolved into a comprehensive faith-tech ecosystem with over 180 million downloads across 190 countries. It now offers accurate prayer schedules, Quran recitations, zakat calculators, AI-powered religious Q&A, and a community hub of lifestyle and inspirational content.
Muslim Pro’s connection with Indonesia - one of its largest and most engaged user bases - has been integral to its growth. With “Hope for Palestine,” the platform transforms digital devotion into real-world impact, bridging worship with humanitarian action.
Previously, Muslim Pro launched the “10 hari terbaik” campaign as an alternative form of giving for Indonesian Muslims unable to perform Hajj or Qurban during Idul Adha. Running from 28 May to 6 June, the initiative channels donations into food and clothing aid for crisis-hit communities, turning Dzulhijjah’s sacred days of devotion into a period of global giving.
