Montblanc has launched the year-long Montblanc Unicef Signature for Good global campaign starting March 2013, in support of Unicef’s effort to reduce illiteracy among children.
A special Montblac Unicef Signature for Good collection comprising writing instruments, jewellery and leather goods have been developed to raise funds, with parts of the proceeds to be donated to Unicef.
In Malaysia, the campaign will be publicised via a series of print ads in The Star newspaper.
Montblanc is hoping to raise at least US$1.5 million from this campaign.
In a press statement, Caryl Stern, president and chief executive officer of the U.S. Fund for Unicef said, “The impact of their [Montblanc’s] investment is truly noticeable and we are grateful for the contribution they make in raising global awareness for Unicef’s work with vulnerable children around the world.”
Montblanc has been supporting UNICEF since 2004. In 2007, Tun Dr Mahathir and Datin Seri Tiara Jacquelina participated in the ‘Power to Write’ campaign whereby their signatures where engraved on the Montblanc Meisterstuck Fountain Pen 149.
