MoneyHero taps RCBC to deepen digital credit card reach in the Philippines
share on
MoneyHero has sealed a partnership with RCBC Bankard Services Corporation, the credit card arm of Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC). This will see RCBC’s suite of credit cards - including lifestyle, rewards, travel, and premium offerings - integrated into MoneyHero’s platform, allowing users to easily discover, compare, and apply digitally.
With this move, MoneyHero - which operates comparison and insurance platforms across Greater Southeast Asia - is deepening its presence in the Philippines, one of the region’s fast-growing credit markets. Meanwhile, RCBC is speeding up its shift to digital distribution to capture the next wave of consumer engagement.
“We are excited to welcome RCBC as a partner on our platform,” said Rohith Murthy, CEO of MoneyHero, in a release. “By combining MoneyHero’s aggregation technology with RCBC’s rich credit card portfolio, we are empowering Filipino consumers to make smarter financial decisions. This partnership continues our mission to simplify financial choices for consumers while supporting our bank partners in driving digital acquisition at scale.”

MoneyHero’s regional model, built on asset-light, partnership-led growth, has found traction in markets such as Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. But the Philippines offers a different kind of opportunity: a digitally connected yet still underbanked population, a mobile-first consumer base, and a credit market poised for growth as inflation eases.
RCBC’s own numbers reflect that acceleration. “Our credit card business has shown exceptional momentum, with credit card receivables growing 48% and cards in force increasing 21% in 2024 alone,” said Arniel Vincent B. Ong, president and CEO of RCBC Credit Cards. “This rapid growth in credit cards will make us a powerful partner for MoneyHero’s expanding presence in the country.”
It’s not the first time RCBC has embraced fintech partnerships to drive innovation. Earlier this year, RCBC and fintech firm Cashmallow launched a cardless cash withdrawal service in the Philippines for international travellers, starting with South Korea. The tie-up also aims to speed up and lower the cost of cross-border remittances.
RCBC also partnered with APIwiz to launch the Digital 2.0 Marketplace, unveiled at the Singapore FinTech Festival, enabling RCBC to evolve into a platform bank via an API-driven ecosystem. The collaboration supports real-time service creation and seamless integration, helping banks and fintechs better govern, monetise, and scale their APIs in response to fast-changing market demands.
With this latest alliance, the bank is betting that aggregation platforms such as MoneyHero can serve as a force multiplier - bringing precision targeting, digital conversion, and product visibility all in one pipeline.
“By integrating with MoneyHero’s platform, we’re making it easier for Filipinos to compare and apply for the card that best fits their needs, strengthening our commitment to innovation and financial inclusion,” Ong added.
