Mo Chung, Next Mobileâ€™s general manager of digital sales, has been promoted to vice president, sales for Apple Daily and NxTomo, overseeing print and digital sales for Next Media’s flagship publication.
His previous role will be replaced by business director Carina Yip.
Chung was general manager of digital sales at Apple Daily for more than three years heading up only the digital sales business. Prior to that, he was media sales head at PCCW NOW in responsible for cross platform advertising solutions for corp sales team and cross-functional business units.
“As newspaper circulation in general has been declining globally, we’ll be focusing on an integrated pitch approach spanning our newspaper and digital outlets looking down the road,” Chung told Marketing.
In February, Apply Daily has renovated its supplement column “ćžśç±˝” following the appointment of Vincent Tsui as chief marketing officer. Embracing the native advertising strategy, the new format is designed to be one of the publication’s biggest revenue engines.
