Metro Broadcast partners with MTR Corporation to promote East Rail Line with ‘Fabulous journey lyrics recreation competition’

To celebrate the 31st anniversary of Metro Broadcast, a concert namely Fabulous Four featuring four popular local singers including Janice Vidal, Alfred Hui, Phil Lam and Dear Jane was held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Riding on the cheerful and joyus occasion, Metro Broadcast teamed up with MTR Corporation to curate the “Fabulous journey lyrics re-creation competition” aiming to promote the newly launched East Rail Line Cross-Harbour Extension in a creative manner.

Contestants are required to recompose the lyrics of any songs sung by the main cast of the Fabulous Four concert under the theme of East Rail Line. The contest was well-received by the song lyrics composition lovers, more than a hundred of quality creations were submitted.

Out of all the entries, ten finalists were selected for public voting and judging by professional judge panel. The winning lyric creation was based on Phil’s song 《難得一遇》which expressed that the daily journey from work to home along East Rail Line is comfortable and convenient. Phil has himself performed this champion work and it was shown to 8,000 audiences at the concert night.
