Philippine property developer Megaworld Corporation has announced a strategic partnership with global real estate consultancy JLL, marking a first-of-its-kind alliance in the country's real estate landscape. The collaboration is set to elevate Megaworld's developments to align with global best practices in innovation, sustainability, and building management.

Under this partnership, JLL will provide Megaworld with advisory services across research, consultancy, and project development, drawing from its international expertise. The scope includes support in office transformation, integration of new property technologies, project and facilities management, building certification, and enhanced safety and resilience measures – all tailored to meet international standards.

"JLL has been a trusted partner for so many years, and we are excited to embark on this new chapter together. With JLL's in-depth local and international real estate expertise, we can continue shaping an exciting future for Philippine real estate," said Lourdes T. Gutierrez-Alfonso (pictured, right), president of Megaworld Corporation.

Joey Radovan (pictured, left), country head of JLL Philippines, described the partnership as unprecedented in the local real estate sector: "Over the last 30 years in corporate real estate, this type of partnership has never been done before. We offer a new set of services related to technology, sustainability and health and wellness, all aimed at further boosting the global standards of real estate products, especially for a publicly-listed real estate developer like Megaworld."

JLL, a Fortune 200 company operating in over 80 countries, is widely recognised as a global leader in commercial real estate and investment management. Its deep knowledge of Asia-Pacific markets has helped clients around the world to build, manage, and invest in a diverse range of properties – from commercial towers and industrial estates to hospitality, residential, and retail assets.

Megaworld, meanwhile, continues to grow its footprint with a portfolio that includes 35 integrated townships nationwide – a milestone it reached in 2024, coinciding with its 35th anniversary. This year, the company is expanding further beyond Metro Manila, with plans to launch at least two more township projects in Luzon and Visayas, covering over 300 hectares in key regional growth centres.

The partnership signals a stronger push for internationally benchmarked developments in the Philippines, as Megaworld and JLL work together to redefine the future of real estate in the region.
