Mediacorp is turning up the festive cheer this Hari Raya Aidilfitri with the launch of “Ini Baru Raya! 2.0” ('Now, this is Raya! 2.0'), a refreshed rendition of its beloved Hari Raya anthem.

The campaign celebrates the season with a lively music video featuring a mix of emerging talent and familiar faces, blending rap, choral harmonies, and vibrant visuals to capture the joy, togetherness, and spirit of Raya.

The revamped anthem features a rap verse by Berani Lakon! ('Dare to act!') finalist omarKENOBI, with the original composition by Yanto Sani, winner of Mediacorp’s songwriting reality competition Projek Lagu ('Project Song'), and rising musician Aidil Akmal. Vocals are delivered by Kaki Nyanyi ('Singing buddy') winners Izat Ibrahim, Myra, Sunny Jackson, and Syaz Smooth, with choral backing by Ardwinda, champion of the Piala Suara Serumpun 2024 dikir barat competition.

The music video brings together an ensemble of Singaporean talents, including Mediacorp artistes Farhana M Noor, Iskandar Mazlan, Shahril Wahid, Syarif Ahmad, along with Berani Lakon! finalists Nana Karia, omarKENOBI, Shazza, and Yusoff Rasid.

It also features local personalities such as Natasha Faisal and TG. Artiste Eswari. Adding a touch of festive fun, the video features Mediacorp’s Hari Raya mascot, Papat the Ketupat, alongside content creator Eve (@angmomakcik).

In the video, a couple arrives at what they hope will be their fully renovated new home just in time for Hari Raya, only to find it still bare. Frustration quickly gives way to bickering as they come to terms with the unexpected setback. Undeterred, they shift the celebrations to their parents’ house, where the scene bursts to life with laughter, dancing, and shared meals, capturing the warmth and joy of family and friends coming together for the festive season.

The anthem is available on melisten, meWATCH, Mediacorp Untukmu’s social channels, and Mediacorp Entertainment on YouTube.

The campaign marks Mediacorp’s ongoing commitment to connecting audiences with homegrown talent while creating immersive, culturally resonant experiences that celebrate Singapore’s festive traditions.

It is also part of Mediacorp’s wider Hari Raya campaign, which celebrates music, creativity, and community spirit across its digital and social platforms.

Raya anthems are growing in popularity over the years, with players in Malaysia also joining the fray. Content and entertainment giant Astro Audio has launched its first ever Hari Raya song and music video,"Inilah Raya" ('This is Raya'), featuring nearly 20 radio announcers from across its Malay radio network.

The project brings together familiar voices from ERA, ERA Sabah, ERA Sarawak, SINAR, THR GEGAR and ZAYAN, marking the first time Astro Audio has produced a Raya track on such a scale involving its on-air personalities.

Composed by songwriter and lyricist Amy Bong, the song blends modern and traditional musical elements with a cheerful, easy-listening arrangement designed to capture the festive spirit of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Meanwhile, low-cost airline AirAsia has tapped Malaysian songstress Siti Nurhaliza for its latest Hari Raya music video. In the music video, Siti, who has a strong fanbase across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei, is seen taking on the role of an air stewardess. She opens the music video with a flight announcement before singing about how Hari Raya will be a celebration filled with happiness and togetherness, no matter where one is in the world.
