Astro Audio is stepping into the festive music arena this Hari Raya with the launch of its first-ever Raya song and music video, “Inilah Raya” ('This is Raya'), featuring nearly 20 radio announcers from across its Malay radio network.
The project brings together familiar voices from ERA, ERA Sabah, ERA Sarawak, SINAR, THR GEGAR and ZAYAN, marking the first time Astro Audio has produced a Raya track on such a scale involving its on-air personalities.
Composed by songwriter and lyricist Amy Bong, the song blends modern and traditional musical elements with a cheerful, easy-listening arrangement designed to capture the festive spirit of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

The song first premiered simultaneously across Astro Audio’s Malay radio stations on 5 March at 9am, before also being played across the company’s English-language stations. The official music video was released on 11 March.
According to Dharmendra, head of radio network at Astro Audio, the initiative was created as a way to celebrate the voices that listeners hear every day while bringing them together in a single festive project. “This is a project that is very close to our hearts because it brings together announcers from across Malaysia in a single project that reflects the joy of Aidilfitri,” he said.
“We hope ‘Inilah Raya’ becomes the soundtrack accompanying listeners on their journey back to their hometowns, during family gatherings and while celebrating the meaningful first day of Syawal (first day of Eid),” Dharmendra added.
The campaign also marks a collaboration with TikTok Shop, aimed at extending the song’s reach to digital audiences across Malaysia.
Dharmendra added that the project is also a gesture of appreciation to Astro Audio’s loyal listeners. “Without their support, our announcers would not be the familiar voices close to the hearts of the community. Through this song, we want to share the joy and gratitude of celebrating Hari Raya,” he said. He added that the team hopes “Inilah Raya” will become part of Malaysia’s festive music tradition and remain a song listeners return to for years to come.
Astro Audio's lagu Raya (Raya song) forms part of Astro's “Bila bersama, lagi jadi” platform, which spans key visuals, retail activations and Astro’s festive programming lineup. The campaign also ties into Astro’s broader content ecosystem, where viewers can experience Raya programming across its services including Astro One for multi-device viewing and Sooka for mobile audiences.
Across its channels such as Astro Ria and Astro Prima, the company rolled out a lineup of festive telemovies, concerts and variety specials, alongside digital-first programming on Astro Gempak. Complementing the entertainment slate are community initiatives including the Kami Care Bubur Lambuk (Spiced porridge care programme) initiative, where radio announcers distribute the traditional Ramadan porridge at bazaars and mosques.
