Media Publishares has announced key leadership appointments as it enters a new phase of growth and innovation.

Bettina von Schlippe (pictured left), former publisher of Vogue Singapore, has been appointed publisher-at-large and vice president of business development and innovation at Media Publishares. von Schlippe has over two decades of experience operating in emerging markets such as Russia and Central Asia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore.

In her new role, von Schlippe will spearhead strategic partnerships for Vogue Singapore while driving new innovation and business development initiatives for Media Publishares across the region.

Beyond her publishing career, she is the founder of communications agency RSVP. RSVP recently merged with Media Publishares to launch 'Beyond the boardroom', a new strategic platform at the intersection of business and culture with a focus on female leadership programmes to empower changemakers.

In tandem, Natasha Damodaran (pictured right) has been promoted from managing director of Media Publishares to the role of publisher at Vogue Singapore.

With 10 years of experience in media and marketing, Damodaran has been key in establishing Vogue in Singapore, building Vogue-first initiatives, launching new and innovative content formats, as well as spearheading local partnerships for cultural impact. This includes launching Vogue's first NFT collection which spotlighted digital artists and explored themes of ownership.

Most recently, she introduced 'Next in Vogue', Vogue Singapore's fashion and innovation conference for the region.

Her new role will focus on strengthening the local presence of Vogue while continuing to drive innovative and impactful content amplifying Vogue's mission in key communities. She will also be growing the business, brand and cultural influence of Vogue in Singapore alongside the editorial and commercial teams through its key platforms including print, digital, events, branded content, membership and more.

Damodaran first joined Media Publishares in 2017 as a marketing director. In conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Damodaran said that she is most excited to deepen Vogue Singapore's commitment to creativity, community and culture in Singapore, as well as honouring the impact the publication has made and building on it with intention.

"Stepping into this role at such a pivotal moment is both a responsibility and a privilege. As Vogue Singapore enters its next chapter, our focus is clear—supporting the Asian creative community, elevating new voices, and exploring innovation and storytelling in ways that are thoughtful and meaningful. It’s about shaping culture with intention and creating space for ideas to flourish," Damodaran told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.

Alongside von Schlippe and Damodaran, Meida Publishers has also appointed Alexander Trefilov as its vice president of corporate finance, investor relations, growth strategy and business intelligence. He was previously serving as Media Publishares' group COO/CFO.

This marks an exciting time for Vogue Singapore as it hits its five-year milestone. Over the past few months, Vogue has focused on creating new ways for its community to connect beyond print and digital. From Vogue En Route, a craft and cultural exchange, to the opening of the Iris van Herpen exhibition at ArtScience Museum, where it styled key personalities in vam Herpen's couture creations, each initiative reflects the publication's vision of fashion as experience.

Looking ahead, Vogue Singapore's current April issue spotlights emerging creatives alongside a dedicated event platforming new voices at 'Vogue underground'. 'Vogue underground' celebrates individuality and expression through fashion, music and dance. In addition, the publication will be introducing its annual supplement Vogue Man in June, and commemorating Singapore’s 60th birthday with a special issue in July/August.

This October, the publication will also be hosting 'Next in Vogue' alongside the Vogue Gala.

Two years ago, the fashion magazine launched an audio edition for its October 2023 issue. The issue featured a collectable cover with special audio content embedded in its print book. The cover was integrated with a proprietary chip technology that allows it to speak to readers.

The issue’s tap application was a first of its kind, aiming to incentivise readers to read the print copies of the magazine with new exclusive content.
