Media Prima has launched a new campaign called #MySyg in conjunction with this year's 55th Merdeka (Independence) year celebration. The campaign aims to share Malaysian stories by inviting Malaysians to participate in sharing their most memorable moments of being in the country.Media Prima has also created a website, www.mysyg.com.my, where participants can share their moments in the form of text, photo or video. The campaign was launched yesterday (19 July), and is being promoted through the media conglomerate's platforms namely print, TV, radio networks, outdoor and its digital platforms."We wanted to do something as a group in conjunction with Merdeka this year, we took a concept and spread it onto all our platforms, allowing Malaysians to upload their stories in any way they want," said Media Prima Radio Networks chief executive officer Seelan Paul.Widgets have been built into the website for users to upload all forms of submission such as video, text or photos, which will then be shared on the site itself, Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.Lam Swee Kim (pictured), group general manager of new media and integrated marketing for Media Prima, said that with this year's Merdeka being a special one, it was a good time to start the initiative, which she hopes can be done annually.Submissions can be done until 15 August, and while every entry can be viewed on the website, the top five finalists of each category will get their stories published in Media Prima's media outlets, namely print, TV and radio. An overall winner will be picked and announced on 15 September and will also get their own billboard with their winning story posted on it, alongside other prizes which will be given out.
