McDonald's HK unveils exclusive collab with K-pop girl group BABYMONSTER
share on
McDonald's Hong Kong has partnered exclusively with the Korean girl group BABYMONSTER to provide limited-edition collectibles as part of its latest campaign.
This comes as McDonald's reintroduces the McCrispy to Hong Kong, featuring an extra-large whole-muscle chicken thigh marinated in garlic, onion, black pepper, and sage, then fried to an extremely crispy finish. The McCrispy is complemented by a signature smoky sauce imported from Korea, which blends sour cream, tomato sauce, and mustard for a distinctive flavor.
To celebrate the return of the Korean-inspired items, McDonald's Hong Kong has released a video on its YouTube channel, Facebook and Instagram pages featuring BABYMONSTER expressing their love for the crispness of the McCrispy. The girl group makes a stylish entrance in red and black outfits, symbolising McCrispy's role as the star of McDonald's Hong Kong extra value meal number 11. The video incorporates dance moves from their global hit "DRIP", aiming to showcase the "바삭바삭" (ultra-crispy) experience.
To further engage customers and connect with BABYMONSTER’s fans, McDonald's Hong Kong has launched an exclusive ultra-limited gift: the "McDonald's x BABYMONSTER cassette photo card set”. Designed with a vintage cassette tape-style box, the set contains seven portrait and autograph cards of the members.
To obtain the cassette photo card set, McDonald's app users can click on the event banner on the app's homepage starting at 11am on 24 April. They can then visit the designated website to purchase the "HK$50.5 McCrispy four-course meal." After completing the purchase, they can present the successful purchase QR code at any of the 20 designated McDonald's restaurants to redeem their meal and receive the cassette photo card set for free.
Customers can also check the McDonald’s app to view the addresses of designated restaurants and the latest availability of the cassette photo card set after the official launch.

Additionally, McDonald’s has presented McDonald’s x BABYMONSTER packaging featuring limited-edition Korean delicacies. As part of the limited-time menu, McDonald’s has introduced a range of Korean-inspired items, including "Sweet N’ Spicy" crispy thighs, Korean-style banana milk dual pies, Jeju mandarin soda, honey butter-flavoured seasoning, and black truffle seaweed-flavoured shake shake fries.
