McCann Worldgroup has promoted former managing director of McCann Shanghai Carter Chow to chief marketing officer for the McCann Worldgroup Greater China, in addition to his responsibilities as regional business lead for Cigna and State Street.
In this newly created role, Chow will focus on business growth across the McCann Worldgroup market operation in Greater China.
Castro Tian will replace Chow’s position as managing director of McCann Shanghai with immediate effect. He will be responsible for driving collaboration between the McCann Worldgroup operating units, implementing strategies that result in effective integrated business solutions for our clients’ long-term success.
Tian will be based in Shanghai and report to Ellen Hou, group managing director of McCann Worldgroup Shanghai.

Prior to joining McCann, Tian was national new business director at FCB China and previously general manager at Leo Burnett Beijing, working across many of the agency’s high profile brands such as BMW, China Mobile Communication Corp (CMCC), Yili Industrial Group.
