Chris Fong has left McCann Erickson to join DDB Group Hong Kong as group creative director starting early November.
With more than a decade in the industry, Fong has built his career at BBDO, Grey and McCann. He has a track-record in both traditional and new media and worked across a wide variety of coveted accounts including Coca-Cola, Nike, Café de Coral, San Miguel, Ocean Park, Carlsberg, AXA and the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
During his career in advertising, Fong has won over 90 awards from both local and international award shows. Highlights include picking up Greater China’s first ever Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Nike’s ‘Paper Battlefield’, and the Grand Kam Fan for Coca-Cola’s ‘365 Days of Happiness’.
“Chris has strong track record in producing insightful, fresh and media-neutral ideas,” said Carol Lam, CCO and MD at DDB Group Hong Kong. “I am confident that the combined efforts of our existing teams and Chris’ fresh input will raise the bar of our creative product to the next level,” she added.
“I am very excited to join the dynamic team at DDB Group Hong Kong,” said Fong. “They have a reputation for creating work that not only wins awards, but also consistently applies creativity to drive commercial success for clients.”
