M&C Saatchi has appointed Richard Morewood as regional CEO.
In a statement to Marketing, Morewood confirmed that he will be looking over the Singapore, Malaysia, New Delhi, Tokyo and Shanghai markets. He starts in January next year. Previously, he worked in the M&C Saatchi Australia and London team. Morewood will be based in Singapore.
Morewood was last with DDB for five years holding roles such as regional business director and managing partner.
Moray MacLennan, Worldwide CEO at M&C Saatchi said: “It is great to have Morewood back in the Network managing a region that is critical for growth. He understands our brand and our culture.”
Morewood added: “I’m absolutely delighted to be rejoining M&C Saatchi and having the chance to work with our offices in New Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo. As well as with Moray and the teams across the globe.”
“I know from experience that M&C Saatchi has a unique entrepreneurial spirit which, when combined with the 'Brutal Simplicity of Thought' strategic approach, is a powerful proposition to clients here in Asia. In many ways it feels like I’m ‘coming home’. I can’t wait to get started.”
He will be replacing Chris Jacques who left the agency last year.
