Malaysia’s Maybank has released its own Raya song titled “#MaybankJomRaya”, sending strong messages of family, hope, gratitude and togetherness for the upcoming celebrations.
In a press statement, Maybank said the song has been specially created by ‘Maybankers’ from all around the world, making bank the first financial institution in Malaysia to release a song uniting people with music. It released the video on its official You Tube and Facebook pages regionally across its ASEAN platforms on 23 June.
The collaborative tune which features Maybank's global management and employees, particularly those from Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia.
“Maybank has always been at the forefront in serving its communities around the ASEAN region and this rendition of the #MaybankJomRaya Song re-inforces that message of celebration within the communities it serves,” the bank said in a press statement.
“The lyrics of the song centres around the message that Hari Raya is a season for forgiveness, happiness, celebration and thanks. It reminds us that despite the many challenges that we are all dealing with, it is a time to laugh and enjoy the most precious gifts we have – each other! It does not matter where we come from or what we work as, as long as we are unit,” it added.
Maybank also announced a quirky contest encouraging people to take part by singing along to their #MaybankJomRaya song.
