Maxis has teamed up with five other brands – BMW, Citibank, Enrich by Malaysia Airlines, MINI and Sime Darby Property – to reward its MaxisONE Club members.
According to Sulin Lau, Maxis’ head of marketing services, the company wanted to find new ways to enrich its customers’ lives beyond its telco services. This was a key consideration when it was building new features for its MyMaxis App.
The “unique 6-in-1 partnership” allows customers to use the app when purchasing a new car, home, holiday or investing in the future. The rewards allow each customer to enjoy up to RM60,000 in savings. A+M has reached out to Maxis for further comment.
Some examples of the rewards include BMW and MINI lifestyle vouchers on selected car models at its authorised dealers, cashback when signing up for Citibank cards and flyer miles when joining MAS’ loyalty programme. Meanwhile, Sime Darby Property customers will also get to enjoy rebates when purchasing its properties.
Recently, Maxis’ former head of marketing communications, Bernard Lee, was appointed the head of marketing services at DiGi Telecommunications. A+M understands that in his new role, Lee will be in charge of marketing, communications and sponsorship activation, among others. He replaces Chan May Ling who moved to Yangon on her new position within the organisation as Telenor Myanmar’s vice president and head of brand since mid-March.
