Marketing magazine regional editorial director Tony Kelly today announced the appointment of Matthew Eaton as the new editor for Marketing Hong Kong and Marketing Daily Hong Kong newsletter.
Eaton, currently media editor and online editor for Australia’s respected industry journal AdNews, will take on editor duties for Marketing in Hong Kong as of mid-August.
Kelly said the appointment of an editor like Eaton, with a depth of experience writing about the marketing, advertising, media and online industries is an important step forward for Marketing’s plans for Hong Kong.
“Matt brings a wealth of experience in the field and has a broad understanding of what makes the industries we cover tick, this means he can hit the ground running which is what we need to grow on what we have already built since we arriving in Hong Kong.,” he said.
“We have, in a short time, been building Marketing into the most relevant read for all marketers across any medium and this appointment will certainly help us accelerate that objective. Matt has built a reputation as a fiercely competitive newshound and skilled magazine producer and we look forward to his contribution to the Marketing magazine group.
